VICTORIA EVENT Mon 19th August - Deloitte boardroom 477 Collins St Melbourne.

NSW EVENT Thurs 22nd August - Ausgrid boardroom 24 Campbell St Sydney.

St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (Vinnies Victoria)

The St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria's 10,000+ volunteers are building compassionate communities. They provide practical assistance making ends meet by putting food on tables, heating homes in winter, educating young minds, listening in times of crisis and much, much more.

Do you know the difference between allocative and productive efficiency? Why do economists always talk about market-based mechanisms as the best means for reducing emissions?

Associate Professor Tim Nelson and Associate Professor Dr Joel Gilmore invite you and your colleagues to a unique training opportunity.
Over the course of a day, they will provide five 60-minute modules of content aimed at providing people without formal economics training an opportunity to understand energy economics as it applies to the Australian electricity industry. The course has been designed to focus on economic concepts as they apply to the energy industry for participants with very little formal knowledge of economics.

The Victorian event, kindly hosted by Deloitte - see's all proceeds from the sale of tickets
donated to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
(Monday August 19th, 2024.)

Additionally, Ausgrid are kindly hosting the NSW event, also in support of St Vincent de Paul Society and their work in the community.
